Postpartum Quick Tips
We don’t always have time to read those big long blogs, where you feel you are honestly searching more words to find what you need than anything. With that being said, we are going to start a “Quick Tips” series that will be focusing on getting straight to the point.
This week: Postpartum
Chapter 1: Be prepared
Being prepared for baby is a no brainer, but we often forget about ourselves. You just went through a marathon and have a brand new life now. Don’t forget your essentials:
Frida Spray Bottle
Numbing spray
Icepack
Comfy clothes
New TV Series (Maternity Leave)
Your own space (naps everywhere)
Breastfeeding caddy and snacks
Heating pad
This is just a start. Download my essential checklist just to make sure you have a good start!
Chapter 2: Reach out
Having a baby is the most amazing thing in this world, but it is also very lonely right after. I struggled with wanting to connect. As I drifted into an unbearable anxiety and depression, I pushed everyone out. I felt that I was supposed to go through this alone. Know that you aren’t a burden, they want to hear from you.
Chapter 3: Selfcare
OOOH this one is HARD. Right after having my baby girl, leaving her side was like my heart was being ripped out of me. I hurt. I was nervous. My mind raced. But I remember to this day, the fear that came right before she went to bed. It’s like a feeling I’ve never felt. So, to work through the anxiety, I went for a walk, then took a nice shower. Selfcare doesn’t stop because you’re a momma, it’s actually more important than ever!
That’s it ladies. Straight to the point! I can’t wait to see you back next time for our next “Quick Tips” series. As always, Adda Girl. You’ve got this and I’ve got you.
